Fridays always seem the hardest day of the week in the babysitting scene. It's like life is saying to me "if you aren't already ready for the weekend, here's a little more incentive." Seriously. In my book friday has always been the easy going, take life a little lighter days. Not so. For some reason every friday I have at least 6 kids to chase after. Today it was seven. Captain Awesome, Little Sister and Baby as usual. Fridays I usually tend Prince Humphrey and his little sister (my niec)e so that wasn't unusual. Today Bonnie and Clyde came over as well and for some reason the looks on their faces I couldn't turn away. I should have sent them home. Here's the rundown of my morning:
Clyde slipped on a blanket and bumped his head. Clyde cried
Little sister hit Roxanne. Roxanne cried.
Prince Humphrey hit Captain Awesome. Captain Awesome cried.
Bonnie hit Little sister. Little Sister cried.
Bonnie wouldn't share with Roxanne. Roxanne cried
Captain Awesome wouldn't let Prince Humphrey in his fort. Prince Humphrey cried
Baby was hungry but didn't want his bottle. Baby cried
Bonnie wanted to go home. Bonnie cried.
Daisy scared Roxanne. Roxanne cried .
Clyde remembered he bumped his head. Clyde cried again.
This was in between time outs for fighting, picking movie debates, me forcing them to play outside (I know I'm so mean) them whining, frantic potty trips, and telling me a hundred times they wanted hot dogs for lunch. The weekend was never so welcome.
