About Me

My photo
This is a type of journal where I share my thoughts and feelings on being a mom, wife, woman, on horses and housekeeping, and life in general. I suppose I don't want to write all these things in my permanent journal because for me that's more for posterity and this is more just for me. Enthusiasm

The Captain is nothing if not enthusiastic (and confidant) some of my favorites lately:

Me: your lunch is ready
Him: my lunch? Yes! Wahoo! I like lunch!

Him: I'm handsome cuz my shirt and my pants and my shoes are handsome
Me: what about your face?
Him: yeah, my face is handsome.

Him: Yeah! I'm the winner! I'm so good at this game always win it!

Him:first I'll clean this up then I'll go play with Clyde. Okay it's Plan.

Him: this is SO COOL!

Which is Worse?

So I know I occasionally complain when I have eight or nine kids under my surveylance but yesterday emphasized the need for balance in the number of children I watch. Yesterday Little Sister woke up an hour early from her nap. I know- that in itself is bad enough but wait. Captain Awesome left soon after to play at Clyde's house leaving me, Baby and Little Sister at home all afternoon. I underestimated her dependance on the Captain for entertainment purposes but never again!
because with him gone she followed me around. We're talking within a four foot radia for three hours and I could not shake her off. Her shrill little voice calling me every two seconds soon made my chest clench in annoyance and anxiety. " milk" and "look" and "what" are words I heard in such vast quantities as to assign them a spot next to the vilest of other four letter words in my heart. She wouldn't take another nap. She wouldn't play with her toys. And there was no one to rescue me from near insanity. So, back to my original question... Which is worse packs of noisy chaotic animals attacking from all sides? Or one small parasite slowly but surely suffocating it's host?

For the record

Dear readers(assuming you exist)
I just wanted to clarify that although I usually write the catastrophes of the day, most days Are
Pretty good and although I can't lie and tell you I like babysitting, I will
Tell you that I actually so like the kids I babysit.
Little sister can be really sweet and funny. She always asks me how I am ( sounds like w-are-yo)
Or if I'm ok (Kay?) she likes to put on hats and shoes and is a good
Sport she all her older brothers push her around
Captain Awesome is usually really good about doing things I ask him
To, like turn off the tv, tries to be nice to his little sister, and is so enthusiastic about things sometimes
I can't help but smile.
So please keep in mind as you read my little anecdotes that they are true but are mostly for entertainment purposes only.
Sincerely,
Alison

Fantasy Fee

Sometimes I think I should charge a fee for changing poopy diapers. Not a lot- like a dollar per diaper. Maybe five for the green ones.
